A beginner’s guide on buying e-juice as a gift
Buying a birthday or house-warming gift for a friend can be a tough decision, especially if you have no real idea about what they like or dislike. However, if you know for a fact that they are into vaping or using e-cigarettes, then purchasing e-juice as a gift could be a very thoughtful present. The only thing about e-liquids is that there is a lot involved in the process; it’s not just about taking a chance on a specific flavour and hoping for the best. So, if you’re in the market for e-juice and need some help, check out this “how to” guide on buying for a friend.
Ask their friends
There are a lot of great and amazing e-liquid flavours out there. Indeed, you could go a sweet, delectable dessert-flavoured vapour, like chocolate or strawberry or even something a little more citrus, like a lemon or mango twist. Even though there are so many popular flavours to choose from, you need to do your research. You don’t want to ask the person point-blank what e-liquid flavours they prefer, as you’re just going to give away the surprise. Instead, ask their friends or family to see if they can give you any insights into what the person likes or dislikes. If the person has a favourite flavour, then you’ve found the perfect e-juice.
Get a meal with them
You should try and organise to grab a feed with the person before you buy your gift. This is because it’s a great way to verify their tastes and culinary preferences. E-liquids are constantly evolving in terms of quality and sophistication, so you might even be able to find a flavour that lines up well with the person’s favourite meal. Either way, knowing what the person likes to eat or drink should be at the back of your mind.
Consider the VG/PG ratio
If you’re a seasoned vaper, the you’ll know what the VG/PG ratio refers to. If not, then you might need to ask someone who does. Basically, the VG (vegetable glycerine) and PG (propylene glycol) are mixed together to form the main base. The ratio between these two substances can be altered and changed in individual e-liquids. If the person doesn’t mind a whole lot about the ratio, then your best bet is to go for an even 50/50 split, as this is generally the most popular mix amongst vapers.
