How much nicotine is in the average e-liquid?

The amount of nicotine in an e-liquid cartridge varies from retailer to retailer. Some flavours contain nicotine that is nearly equivalent to the amount found in a regular cigarette. Others have far less nicotine. Many, like ours, are even nicotine-free.

Are e-liquids becoming more and more common?

Can it be used to quit smoking?

What are the main ingredients in an e-liquid?

Most e-liquids are made in a relatively simple process and generally only contain around 4 main ingredients. The mixture begins with the main base, known as vegetable glycerine (VG). The VG is then added with something known as propylene glycol (PG). If you’re just getting into vaping culture, you’ll hear the phrase “VG/PG ratio” and hear a bunch of different numbers. Don’t worry if that means nothing to you, there is plenty of time to learn.

The VG/PG base is then mixed with the flavourings. It could be anything from vanilla extract to watermelon extract. Finally, nicotine is added to liquid; however, at Kev’s Vape, we do not add nicotine to our e-liquids.

Do e-cigarettes smell just as bad as normal cigarettes?
